The Carolina Solar services team will be attending North Carolina’s State Energy Conference at the end of April. The conference, held each year at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh, is one of the state’s top forums for sharing energy insight and discussing best practices in the field. The agenda is divided into six categories:

  • Residential Homes / Clean Transportation
  • Commercial & Industrial Buildings
  • Governmental & Institutional Buildings
  • Renewable Energy
  • Utilities & Infrastructure
  • Innovative Technology & Deployment

A couple of sessions particularly align with CSS priorities. For example, from the Innovative Technology and Deployment Track: “The Role of Electric Cooperatives and Municipal Utilities in Power Decarbonization.” The session will explore how these utilities are working to decarbonize and best serve their three million North Carolina customers. CSS works closely with cities throughout the state on energy facilities like solar arrays and battery storage. Municipalities and cities have been great partners on many of our projects, and we’re excited to learn more about how we can support their commitment to decarbonizing the grid!

CSS is also invested in keeping solar and battery systems running at their highest capacity to ensure that we are prepared for growing energy demand in North Carolina. The state is experiencing record load expansion given its increasing population and influx of new manufacturing. We look forward to engaging in the “Reliably Meeting our Growing Electricity Demand” session and learning how we can continue to support renewables as a path to meet North Carolinians’ evolving needs.

If you plan to attend the State Energy Conference, please reach out to our team member Ayaz Kiani at akiani@carolinasolar.services. We’d love to connect with you!
